Refunds & cancellation

This page explains in plain words when you can cancel and when you get money back. The full rules are in our service agreement. Nothing here limits the rights you have under consumer law.

Cancelling within 14 days (consumers)

If you order as a consumer in the EU, you can cancel within 14 days of placing your order, without giving a reason.

  • At checkout you ask us to start work straight away. If you then cancel within the 14 days, we refund what you paid minus a fair amount for the work we have already done up to that moment.
  • If we have already delivered the complete website within those 14 days, the right to cancel no longer applies.
  • We refund within 14 days of receiving your cancellation, to the payment method you used.

Business customers

If you order for your business, the 14-day cancellation right above doesn't apply. The refund rules below do.

When you get a refund

  • We can't deliver: if we genuinely cannot deliver the website we agreed on, you get your money back.
  • Delays: if your delivery date moves, we tell you why and show the new date. If it can't be resolved, we look at a refund with you.
  • Change of mind: because every website is custom work made for you, there are no refunds for completed work just because you changed your mind, where the law allows this.
  • Defects: something broken or not as agreed is fixed free of charge and never uses a revision round.

Maintenance plans

You can cancel a maintenance plan at any time from the Maintenance page in your project. The plan runs until the end of the period you already paid for and then stops. No further charges are made. Periods already paid are not refunded, except where the law requires it.

How to cancel or ask for a refund

Send us a message from your project dashboard, use the contact form, or email info@emberstudio.cc. Please include your order number.

You can use this text if you like: "To Ember Studios, info@emberstudio.cc: I hereby cancel my order for the following service: [order number], ordered on [date]. Name: [your name]. Date: [today]."
